Avatar Sequels Titles Reportedly Revealed (See Details)
There is a report that the titles to the four upcoming sequels to Avatar – a production that remains the highest-grossing movie of all time at the worldwide box office nearly a decade after its release – have been revealed.
The film, which had the world box office earning of $2.8 billion (N1 trillion), was at the time a 3D phenomenon.
It was created by James Cameron and featured Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Zoe Saldana was set on Pandora, a fantasy planet inhabited by the Na’vi a race of aliens with blue skin.
However, popular news outlet BBC released a report on Friday, November 2, that supposedly reveals the titles for Avatar II-IV.
It further claims it “has seen documentation regarding future Avatar plans which makes reference to four specific projects.”
According to the outlet, the sequels titles are Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa.
It points out that “Eywa in The Quest for Eywa appears to be a reference to the deity and goddess of the Na’vi people who inhabit Pandora.”
The four Avatar sequels are due to be released in December 2020, December 2021, December 2024, and December 2025.
Avatar 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2020, Avatar 3 on December 17, 2021, Avatar 4 on December 20, 2024, and Avatar 5 on December 19, 2025.
